Dignet is ‘n webtuiste vir alle digters wêreldwyd wat in Afrikaans dig. Dignet bied die geleentheid aan veral jong, opkomende digters, om hulle werke voor te lê vir opbouende kommentaar en/of dit te plaas op die Dignet-webtuiste sodat hulle gedigte deur ander digters en belangstellendes gelees kan word.

Dignet bied ook inligting wat gedurig uitgebrei en aangepas word aan digters rakende die woordkuns, letterkundige begrippe, digvorme, digsoorte, versboumiddele, style, ens.

Digters kan van tyd tot tyd aan kompetisies deelneem. Dignet behou die reg voor om van tyd tot tyd taal- en ander projekte aan te pak ten einde ook ander tale, soos byvoorbeeld Vlaams, Nederlands, ens., te akkommodeer.

Dignet Terme en Voorwaardes word hieronder in Engels uiteengesit ten einde dit wêreldwyd toeganklik te maak vir digters wat nie Afrikaans as Moedertaal besig nie. Daar gaan, gesien in die lig van die geskiedenis van die Afrikaanse taal, van die veronderstelling uit dat alle Afrikaanssprekendes meer as een taal (insluitende Engels) behoorlik magtig is.

Digters en/of ander belangstellendes, genoem webgebruiker (user), wat teks van enige aard op die webtuiste van Dignet plaas, bevestig deur die plasing daarvan, dat dit hulle eie werk/skepping(e) is. Indien van intertekstuele of intratekstuele teks gebruik gemaak word, sal die betrokke skrywer of belangstellende die oorspronklike skrywer daarvan behoorlik identifiseer en erken ten einde plagiaat te voorkom.
